On Thursday, fake news reporter Jim Acosta pulled off one of the biggest self-owns in history, and the entire world mocked him for it. To recap, Acosta shot a selfie video near the border to illustrate that “there is no border crisis”, but it ended up backfiring in hilarious fashion.
While standing next to a giant barrier, Acosta argued that the border is “safe”, but he accidentally made President Trump’s whole point……WALLS WORK!
It’s pretty simple:
If you shoot a video near a barrier on the border, it’s going to be safe.
If you shoot a video next to an unguarded border location, it’s NOT going to be safe.
In case you missed his hilarious self-own, here it was again in all it’s glory:
“I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today.”
As you can imagine, Twitter had a FIELD day with Acosta’s hilarious blunder. You can see all of their remarks below, but President Trump had a simple yet HILARIOUS response to Acosta’s idiotic video:
The “Dear Diary” remark is derived from a common Twitter joke that many users have at Jim Acosta’s expense. Anytime Acosta whines or complains about something, Twitter users respond with “Dear Diary” as a way to mock him.
Well, it looks like the President of the United States just picked up on it, and it was beautiful.
Here are some more brutal responses from the rest of the Twitterverse:
